episode 33 is filler, the fight doesn't happen in the manga.Watch it if you didn't read the prequel manga (watch those remaining minutes of episode 12 as well) episode 13 is a shortened, modified version of Bakura's arc from the prequel manga. Now here's the Duel Monsters guide, which reduces the episode count from 224 to 137: I know it might be anoying if manga is not your thing, but there are just 59 chapters. I don't know what to skip because i read the manga instead of watching it. There's even a filler friend who doesn't join the group in the original manga. It's full of filler and not considered good by many. just start duel monsters: you'll be missing all that happened in this prequel (like Kaiba and Yugi's first encounter), but the story still makes sense.Note2: Duel Monsters adapts the second manga, called Duelist, so the 59 chapters of the first manga are skipped. I watch anime because I love seiyuu and the Japanese language in general, so I don't enjoy english translated manga, I just read it when necessary (unfinished adaptations, skipped content, etc) Some people don't like it or prefer anime. Note: Please don't say "just read the manga". Go to TL DR if you just want the list without explanations. Most people recommend checking sites like animefiller but those are not accurate, so now that I finished watching it, I decided to make my own guide. When I wanted to start watching DM, I couldn't find a proper guide to know what to skip. New or Returning? Get Started Here!
